Expert treatment for diseases and conditions of the gastrointestinal tract

The Division of Gastroenterology at Fallon Clinic offers patients a wide range of diagnostic services and treatment options for diseases and disorders of the digestive tract as well as the liver and pancreas.

Fallon Clinic gastroenterologists provide expert care in treating gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), abdominal pain, gallstones, peptic ulcers, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, Hepatitis C (and other hepatic disorders), cirrhosis, pancreatitis, and many other problems. We are dedicated to offering our patients a wide array of medical and surgical options for their gastroenterological needs, including cancer screenings. Each year, Fallon Clinic physicians perform thousands of colonoscopies to screen for colon cancer. Many of these procedures are performed at New England SCOPE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fallon Clinic dedicated to outpatient endoscopic procedures.

Thanks to endoscopy, which utilizes an endoscope or colonscope to examine the digestive tract, Fallon Clinic physicians can now treat many problems of the digestive tract less-invasively. These instruments allow surgeons to diagnose problems and perform biopsies and other procedures on an outpatient basis. All abnormal findings during endoscopic procedures are closely analyzed and patients are carefully monitored to ensure follow-up procedures are given appropriately.

Fallon Clinic’s Division of Gastroenterology performs procedures at St. Vincent Hospital and New England SCOPE, both conveniently located in Worcester. During gastroenterological procedures, our physicians utilize a full RN clinical staff and endoscopic technicians for the utmost in patient safety. In addition, all physicians and staff are ACLS certified.

Whether performing a routine colonoscopy screening or a more complex procedure, each member of Fallon Clinic’s Division of Gastroenterology is dedicated to providing the best in clinical quality, safety and patient convenience.
