Convenient and Efficient Same-Day, Off-Hours Care By Our Pediatric Team

While your Fallon Clinic pediatrician can usually schedule a same-day appointment for you, sometimes medical issues arise outside of normal office hours. Whether or not your child is a Fallon Clinic patient, when he or she needs urgent medical attention, you need a responsive team to help you as soon as possible. That's what Fallon Clinic's Pediatric Urgent Care provides.

Pediatric Urgent Care is available each week night as well as on weekends and holidays, giving you the chance to schedule a same-day appointment with one of our physicians - and potentially forego a lengthy and sometimes chaotic visit to an Emergency Room. (Naturally, if your child's situation warrants ER-based care or hospital admission, you'll be instructed appropriately). Please note: if your child does not have a Fallon Clinic pediatrician, simply have your pediatrician call us, and we will schedule an appointment.

With on-site radiology, laboratory, and pharmacy facilities, we can perform rapid strep tests in 5-7 minutes, complete most blood work in about an hour, obtain X-rays immediately, and prescribe needed medications. Our team can handle a broad array of urgent problems that can benefit from immediate attention that might otherwise require an ER visit, including:

• Abdominal pain
• Asthma attacks
• Dehydration
• Fevers
• Fractures
• Injuries
• Lacerations
• Sprains
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• And more routine problems such as coughs, colds, ear aches, sore throats and rashes

Best of all, you and your child benefit from an exceptional level of continuity of care. After your visit to Pediatric Urgent Care, we will notify your child's physician regarding the medical care received. This helps ensure your child gets prompt, responsive follow-up care, if necessary.

Late-Night Coverage

If your child is a Fallon Clinic patient and has medical issues that arise after 9:00pm, we still have you covered. You can call our night-time coverage team to speak with a pediatric triage nurse to get specific advice for home-based medical care. If necessary, our nurse can consult an on-call Fallon Clinic physician, advise you to visit a hospital, or schedule next-day appointment with your pediatrician.
