Fallon Clinic scored above the national average in 12 of the 16 MHQP measures in the report, showing the highest breast cancer screening rates in central Massachusetts, and earned the highest rate in the state overall for "well child visit rates ages 3-6 years".

Breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women in the United States today. The use of mammography to detect breast cancer in its early and most treatable stages reduces the death rate from breast cancer by 30% in women over 50 years of age. At Fallon Clinic we recognize the importance of this test, and patients who are overdue for mammograms receive reminders to schedule this important preventive service. This has allowed Fallon Clinic to score above the national 90th percentile in the screening rate for breast cancer in the past two years.
